:: Second POSB Account?

Some general knowledge for those who are thinking of opening a new POSB savings account on top of your existing one (for whatever reasons): you are not allowed to. Apparently one person can only hold one POSB savings account, that is all. You can, however, choose to open a savings account with DBS (which is by the way POSB's parent bank if you are still in the dark). Note that the DBS savings account is slightly different than the usual POSB which we signed up for since we were kids - instead of issuing you a passbook, statements are instead sent to you monthly by postal. Everything else works almost the same I reckon?

Oh yeah, and did I mention that it is possible to tie up both of your DBS and POSB account together while you are using ATM cards? Pretty useful if you are rather active on both accounts, though it might take a wee bit of extra management for some.
